Final Public Open House

The City of Abilene is hosting the final Dyess AFB Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) open house on October 18, 2017. The public is encouraged to join us at this open house to learn more about the Public Draft JLUS Report, ask questions, and provide comments. The Public Draft Dyess AFB JLUS Report will be released for a 30-day public review and comment period in October, 2017. Check back on this website in early October to download the document.

At the October 18 open house, attendees will be provided an overview of the key compatibility issues, findings, and recommendations contained in the Public Draft JLUS Report. Public comments on the draft will be accepted at the meeting or can be provided in writing up until the end of the comment period. Written comments can be provided through the project website or by emailing comments to the City of Abilene project manager, Don Green. Don Green’s email can be found in the “For More Information” box on the right-hand side of this website.

The public is encouraged to join us at this open house. This will be an open house format, so stop by any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to provide your input on the Public Draft JLUS Report.
